Model CLA-500  Ceramic Tape Slitter

The CLA - 500 tape slitting machine is a stand alone unit that is designed to slit green ceramic tape on polyester carrier web into two strips of similar width.  This machine will slit the carrier web into two 430 mm wide strips and wind them onto separate  cores.  The edge scrap will be taken up on separate mandrels for ease of disposal.

    Automatic web tracking

    Female cutting blade roll,

    Male blade cutting assembly,

    Torque roll for applying tension in the web

    Take-up arbors with core chucks. 

 

Model CLA-2009  Ceramic Component Green Cutter

The CLA-2009 is designed to allow individual rectangular components to be cut from a stacked and laminated bar.  The machine is intended for lab and low volume production applications. Cutting is by a descending razor blade. The ceramic is prevented from lifting as the blade is retracted by a spring loaded stripper bar that also serves as a precision guide for the blade.  Actuation and positioning are manual. The movement system is designed to be fast and easy for the operator, and it has been found that surprising productivity can be achieved.
